SUNY Award To Boost Training, Research In Clean-Energy Systems

A two-year, $297,500 award from the State University’s Performance Improvement Fund will give new impetus to SUNY Oswego’s efforts to develop the clean energy workforce of tomorrow. The annual meeting of the North Country Library System representing the 63 libraries in Oswego, Jefferson, Lewis and St. Lawrence counties was held in Watertown on September 17. At that meeting, Karen Swartz, Children’s Program Coordinator, was presented with the Excellence in Customer Service Award for all her work at the Oswego Public Library.

Syracuse Man Charged With Violating An Order Of Protection

State Police arrested Chad Chapman, 33, from Syracuse, for Criminal Contempt 1st degree, a class “E” felony and Harassment 2nd degree, a violation, following a domestic incident that occurred Sunday in the Village Green Community parking lot. He is accused of violating an Oswego County Family Court Order of Protection during a altercation with the protected party.
