Four Finalists Selected In 2018 ‘Next Great Idea’ Competition

CHARTA, Hope Springs, Oz Angling, and Wired Telecom have been selected as the four finalists for the 2018 Next Great Idea Oswego County Business Plan Competition- it was announced by Austin Wheelock, Chair of the NGI steering committee. On September 14, each finalist will give a 20-minute presentation on their business plan in-person to the panel of judges.

More EEE and West Nile Virus Found in Mosquitoes

The Oswego County Public Health Department reported that test results received recently indicated new positive results for both the Eastern equine encephalitis and West Nile viruses. The report listed three mosquito pools as positive for EEE, two are located in the Toad Harbor Swamp and one is in the town of Hastings. Two pools were listed as positive for WNV, one in the town of Hastings and the other in the town of Palermo.

FCSD is Back to Business for 2018-2019

The 2018-2019 school year is well underway for the Fulton City School District. According to Superintendent of Schools Brian Pulvino, instruction began in classrooms within minutes on the first day of school last week. Districtwide, just more than 3300 students attended first days throughout the first week of school from grades pre-kindergarten through twelfth, a lower number than opening day last year.
