Zimpher Scholarship, but she was keeping her commitment to help other Brooklyn girls — homeless, in temporary housing — who are trying against all odds to succeed in school, just as Kirkland had.

DSS Attacker Pleads Guilty, Sentenced To Prison

On Monday (October 15) Steven Haynes of Oswego appeared in Oswego County Court and pleaded guilty to Attempted Murder in the Second Degree. Haynes was sentenced immediately after he entered his plea. The Hon. Walter W. Hafner Jr. sentenced Haynes to 20 years in state prison, followed by 5 years of post-release supervision.
