The Oswego County Health Department is seeing an increase in reports of bats found in homes over the past few weeks. Public Health Director Jiancheng Huang said today (Jan. 17) that it’s not unusual for people to find bats in their homes during the winter.
A local resolution has requested the addition of Lake Neatahwanta and the Oswego River to NYS Department of State’s listing of Coastal Waterways and Designated Inland Waterways. The resolution, unanimously passed through the Fulton Common Council, is the first step to receiving the state designation. If approved, Fulton’s waterfronts will join a listing of eleven Coastal Waterways and more than 120 Designated Inland Waterways.

All boys and girls ages 4 through16 who reside within either the Fulton or Hannibal school districts boundaries or attend a school in either Fulton or Hannibal are eligible to play Fulton Little League baseball or softball.
The No. 5/5 Oswego State men’s ice hockey team (11-3-1 overall, 6-0-1 SUNYAC) will host the Cortland Red Dragons (7-9 Overall, 3-6 SUNYAC) at 7 p.m. on Friday night in the Marano Campus Center Arena. It is Youth Night for the Lakers, with complimentary youth tickets (17 and under) available with purchase of an adult tickets by calling the box office 315-312-3073 or in person at the Marano Center Box Office windows.
