Vanessa Hudson of Fulton is all smiles after having her face painted at the first-ever Parents of Special Children Backyard Barbeque held Sept. 11 at the Douglaston Manor Farm in Pulaski. “About 45 families were given the opportunity to participate in arts and crafts, face painting, balloon animals, music, dancing, see a race car and emergency vehicle displays and win prizes for free thanks to the sponsors, donors, and organizers who helped make the event possible,†said Chrystal Hoyt, PSC program coordinator and organizer of the event. “Seeing the joy and happiness the barbeque brought to the families and children was remarkable,†Hoyt said. “This would not have been possible without the countless efforts put forth by all of our sponsors, volunteers and families.†For more information on PSC, Hoyt can be contacted at (315) 598-7672 or [email protected].
