Mary Chirello of Fulton, right, and Pamela Tealin, both student volunteers from Nazareth College, Rochester, finish sanding and painting door trim in a New Orleans home damaged by Hurricane Katrina. Chirello, Tealin, and 18 other Nazareth students received part of their funding for their efforts from the Fulton Lions Club. The students spent the week before last Christmas putting the finishing touches on several homes where they installed bamboo flooring, hung sheetrock and doors, did caulking, taping, cleaning, and touch-up painting among other jobs.
