OSWEGO, NY – Our hearts are saddened as we share the loss of Eileen Woods, beloved wife of the late John P. Woods, and devoted mother and friend.
Eileen was born in Oswego on Sept. 15, 1925, and passed away peacefully in Irving, Texas, with her daughter, son, and daughter-in-law at her bedside, on Saturday March 27, 2010.
Eileen was an avid golfer, a voracious reader and enjoyed gardening.
She volunteered at hospitals in many capacities, both in Oswego and in Irving.
Eileen is survived by her three children, Cathy and Gary (Marcia) of Irving, Texas, and Jack (Teressa) of Traverse City, Mich.; her five grandchildren, Steven (Jamie) of San Diego, Calif., Brent (Tessa) of Lewisville, Texas, and Caitlin, Guy Patrick, and Chip of Traverse City, Mich.; and her sister, Mary Ruth (Edward) O’Brien of Watertown, NY.
The funeral mass is to be held at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Oswego, on Wednesday at 10 a.m.
Burial will be in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Oswego.
There will be no calling hours.
