The tradition continued this year at the G. Ray Bodley High School sports complex on Monday, June 9th for the Fulton City School District’s annual 5th and 6th Grade Track and Field Competition. The twelve track and field events included at this year’s meet were the 80 yard hurdles, 100m, 200m, 4x200m relay, 4x100m relay, 400m, 800m, high jump, long jump, triple jump, shot put, and discus.
Fifth and sixth grade students from each of the four elementary schools are allowed to participate and represent their school in two of the twelve different events. The stands were filled with cheering teammates, parents, friends and faculty members as the students from Fairgrieve, Granby, Lanigan and Volney took to the track for their events. The top six students who placed in each event received ribbons.
