Helen P. Pfaff, 87 and a resident of Springside in the Town of Volney passed away Saturday morning in the Oswego Hospital with her husband at her side.

With temperatures reaching nearly 140 degrees on the field the Oswego and Carthage girls’ varsity lacrosse teams squared off for the Section III Class B title. It was an emotional and physical roller coaster as the teams gutted it out before the Bucs advanced to the state regional competition for the first time in the history of the program with a 15-14 victory.
A chicken barbecue will be held on June 5 at Lakeview Lakes from 1-5 p.m. for Ken Abraham. He recently passed away. The benefit will help defray the medical costs and expenses his family has incurred.
Students in the Fulton and Fairgrieve Head Start programs helped to plant a garden at Seneca Hill Manor recently.
The public is welcome at this event and proceeds benefit Oswego County Hospice patients and their families.
Raider girls have a strong Class A meet, while the lacrosse team looks to the future.
