Informational Meeting on the State Outdoor Burning Regulations and Agriculture
New York State recently passed a law that now prohibits outdoor burning. In an effort to educate people on what this means for the agriculture community of Oswego County, there will be a meeting at the Mexico VFW building on Scenic Ave/St Rt 3 on Wednesday, March 31st from 6:30 pm to 8 pm.

Next Small Business Training Class to Begin in April
For those interested in expanding or starting a small business in Oswego County, the next Micro-Enterprise Program small business training class is scheduled to be held each Tuesday from April 6 through May 25. The classes will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. at the SOVAC Training Center, Gertrude Drive in Central Square.

Tim Fowler, who runs Maple Hollow Farm in Hannibal with his wife Becky, says without three feet of snow on the ground and ice on the roads, more people could be going out to visit maple syrup farm open houses throughout the state.

SUNY Oswego to Host Free Concert Tribute to Top Composer
Decorated classical composer George Tsontakis will visit SUNY Oswego on March 24 as part of a continuing collaboration between Oswego’s Rob Auler and Le Moyne College’s Andrew Russo, both accomplished pianists who each will perform pieces in a Tsontakis tribute at both schools.
