In a letter to its patients and their families Tuesday, Loretto CEO Michael Sullivan said that the 120-bed Oswego home and its Rosewood Heights nursing home because they were “challenged to maintain financial viability before the economic crisis of 2008 and the outlook for their ability to maintain quality services in the current environment is poor.”

Man Arrested After Pursuit By Police Ends In A Crash

The Oswego County Sheriff’s Department reports that David R. Burger, 22, of 80 Sixth Avenue, Oswego, appeared to be speeding on Route 104 near the Route 34 intersection in Hannibal. The department says a deputy tried to pull Burger’s car over, using the police car’s lights and siren, near the Stock Rd. intersection.

Oswego County Conducts ‘Successful’ Federal Exercise Of Nuclear Plan

A federally-evaluated exercise of Oswego County’s Radiological Emergency Preparedness Program “was very successful,” said Rebecca Thomson of Federal Emergency Management Agency Region II‘s Radiological Emergency Preparedness Program.
