On Wednesday (February 4), at approximately 5:16 a.m., the Oswego County Drug Task Force with the assistance of the New York State Police Special Operations Response Team (SORT) and Contaminated Crime Scene Emergency Response Team, executed a methamphetamine related search warrant at 7 Mexico Point Drive West in the town of Mexico.
Turning colder with snow flurries today. High in the lower teens.
The temperature was 3.4 degrees colder than average. The precipitation was 1.47 inches below normal. And, snowfall was 19.8 inches off the mark. For the winter, snowfall is 20.5 inches below average.

“For the previous couple of years, our group of AmeriCorps members has made infant fleece blankets and donated them to the families with infants in need who are referred to the County Health Department’s Maternal Child Health Program,” said Carrie Victory, Oswego County AmeriCorps. “The program provides home visits from public health nurses between doctors appointments. AmeriCorps members experience the tremendous reward that comes from helping others.” More than 30 blankets were made by the group and other volunteers.

Sidney LeCeur keeps pounding away on the competition. The Oswego Boxing Club member won by knockout in the second round on January 23 in Watertown at the “Showdown in Snowtown.” 2015 is going to be a busy year, the local boxer said. “I am going to train as hard as I can and compete as often as possible,” he said.
