UPDATE:  The victim has been identified as Timothy D. Confer, from Binghamton  The victim was transported to Oswego Hospital by N.O.C.A. Ambulance and was pronounced deceased upon arrival. Identification of the victim is being withheld pending notification of family and the investigation is continuing.

After more than an hour and 20 minutes of a pointed public hearing and another 13 minutes of discussion between the councilors themselves – the “drunk bus” issue was parked on the table for the time being.

Five Central New York paddlers traveled water routes from Ithaca to Oswego, arriving on Sunday, to demonstrate the potential for developing a water trail that links the Finger Lakes with Lake Ontario.
