Cicero Man and Dog Rescued After Falling Through Ice On Oneida Lake
At approximately 1:45 p.m. today (Feb. 23), State Police in North Syracuse responded to 8904 Beach Road in the Town of Cicero for a reported person who fell through the ice with his dog. Three Oswego County men helped with the rescue.

Council Committees OK Tri-Oswego, Dragon Boat Plans
The second Tri-Oswego Triathlon race will be held this summer. Last year, it attracted more than 250 participants. Organizers hope to have similar success with the first Dragon Boat Community Festival in the Port City this fall.

Water Leak Takes CENG’s Nine Mile Point Nuclear Station Unit 1 Off Line
On Saturday, Nine Mile Point Unit 1 licensed Operators identified increased water leakage inside the drywell. Operators in accordance with their procedures and training, appropriately reduced power at the unit in order to perform inspections to identify the source of the leak. Unit 1 was removed from the grid just after midnight on Sunday.
