Developer’s Hotel Plan Draws Opposition

The Planning and Development Committee this week sent a businessman’s request for a zone change to the Planning Board for its advisory opinion for the proposed change. His plan to develop a hotel there, however, drew objections from some owners of existing hotels.

OPD Announces Three More Drug Arrests

On Monday, members of the Oswego City Police Department’s Anti-Crime Team (ACT), acting on information developed as a result of on-going drug investigations, arrested two men for sale of a controlled substance and one man for possession of controlled substances with intent to sell.

Councilors Continue Noise Ordinance Waiver Debate

They recommend allowing a downtown business to have outdoor music until 1:30 a.m. because another business already has such a variance. The full council will consider setting stricter time limits for variances in the coming year.
