The arrest stems from the investigation into an ongoing incident that occurred from May 2017 until January 2018 at a business in the town of Constantia. She was in the office of treasurer and allegedly wrote checks to herself in the amount of more than $50,000 and took the cash.

They have been seeing an increase in the number of cases in recent years. The director attributes that to the good work of area law enforcement and several other agencies; it doesn’t necessarily mean there is more abuse in the county than elsewhere, she pointed out.
