Wood Carving at Amboy 4-H Environmental Education Center

On September 24 at 2 p.m. Oswego County artist, Penny Kimball, will return to the Amboy 4-H Environmental Education Center to teach Introduction to Wood Carving as part of our Nature Inspires series. Program participants will use chisels, gouges and a mallet to create a delightful work of art. Carving tools and supplies will be provided; however participants may bring their own set of tools if desired.

As the Oswego City School District opened its doors today (Sept. 6) for the 2017-18 school year, Oswego High School welcomed the newest members of its student population for the second annual “Freshman First” day. Designed to ease ninth grade Buccaneers into the rigors of high school, Freshman First day gives members of the Class of 2021 the campus of OHS to themselves one day before the rest of the students arrive.
