Mexico residents are urged to fill out a survey. A public information meeting will be held on March 2 at 7 p.m. in the Mexico Middle School Auditorium where New Visions will be in attendance to address questions from the community.

The G. Ray Bodley Class of 1987’s 30th reunion is planned for July 28. An icebreaker will be held at the Battle Island Golf Course from 7 – 11 p.m.
Nearly 20 Phoenix Central School District middle school students showcased their musical talents during the recent All-County Band Festival held in Hannibal. The annual event was spearheaded by the Oswego County Music Educators Association and featured 74 student musicians representing all nine school districts throughout the county.
The Amboy 4-H Environmental Education Center will continue its Sunday Woodland Snowshoe Wanders programs into February, including Sundays, January 29 and February 5 and 12, at 2 p.m.
The Phoenix Central School District is exploring a $38.2 million capital project that would upgrade district facilities for 21st century learning and address safety, compliance and energy efficiency items. If the project is approved by voters, the district is anticipating it would be completed by summer 2020.
Brewerton Elementary welcomed some new “guests” to its school this year. Perhaps you’ve seen them wandering around the hallways or tooling around in classrooms. These special new guests are robots, Finch Robots, to be specific.
Altmar-Parish-Williamstown Elementary School held its annual Kindergarten through third grade Snow Ball where students, dressed in their finest, came with parents and guardians to dance the night away.
There will be more to love about Valentine’s Day if you are one of the five “Early Bird” drawing winners, part of St. Luke’s annual “Bundle of Bucks” Charity Raffle. Five ticket numbers will be picked on February 14 from all the “Bundle of Bucks” tickets sold by this date.
