CiTi released its first-ever “Central New York Deaf/HH Teens” magazine featuring the biographies, struggles and successes of teens who are hard of hearing. “Our purpose for the magazine was to highlight the talented deaf teens of CNY while also expanding the reader’s knowledge of deafness,” said CiTi teacher of the Deaf/HH Tamara Seymour.

The County of Oswego Council on Alcoholism & Addictions (COCOAA) has partnered with the New York Council on Problem Gambling to carry out the YOU(th) Decide in Oswego County. COCOAA has been a part of this project for three years.

2016 marks the fifth year that the NY Council on Problem Gambling has worked with local providers in an effort to prevent underage and problem gambling.

The Hannibal Central School District recently wrapped up its Summer Warrior Weeks, which provided hands-on learning, fun and friendship for students in the district. The new summer enrichment program took place in two separate week-long sessions in early August at Dennis M. Kenney Middle School.

The Mexico Academy and Central School District has launched a new responsive website that will improve the ease of navigation and help create stronger communication between parents, teachers, students and community members. Aesthetically, the new website bridges the gap between modernized designs and traditional schemes, creating a transitional style specific to the district.

St. Luke Health Services’ Diane Garcia is a recipient of a 2016 LeadingAge New York Long Term Care Employee of Distinction Award. Garcia, who has been with St. Luke for 26 years, is the assistant director of activities at the healthcare residence.
