Liam David Crofoot was born in Oswego Hospital on March 18, 2016, at 10:58 a.m.
Patience and persistence helped students from the Mexico Academy & Central, Sandy Creek Central and Fulton City school districts win top honors at the annual Oswego County Battle of the Books event. Mexico Elementary School’s five-year second-place streak ended with a 120 point, first place finish for Level 1 (Grades 3 and 4).
Dufore’s has donated a beautiful silver necklace with pendent to be awarded during the event, which also features the raffle drawing for 15 cash prizes totaling $25,000 and a top prize of $10,000 to a lucky winner if all one thousand tickets are sold by the time of the event.
Students at Volney Elementary were recently honored during a school assembly for exhibiting perseverance during the month of March. Principal Todd Terpening presented awards to 20 students after their teachers recognized them for never giving up on tasks or assignments in class.
Fairgrieve Elementary students were recognized during a Morning Express program for exhibiting the school’s character education trait of perseverance throughout the month of March. Classroom teachers selected students for the honor based on their continued dedication to their classroom work and personal tasks or goals.
