Construction Technology students from the Center for Instruction, Technology and Innovation’s Career and Technical Education program recently built 25 ramp sections for the ARISE Oswego County Ramp program.
The New York State Public High School Athletic Association recognized many teams for academic excellence at the end of the winter sport season, the girls’ basketball and volleyball teams from Altmar-Parish-Williamstown Central School District as well as APW’s shared boys’ ice hockey team with Pulaski Academy and Central School being a few.
All 25 classroom teachers in grades kindergarten through six submitted the name of one student to receive the school’s Virtue of the Month Award.
The sixth annual Oswego Opera Theater Golf Tournament will be held June 18 at Battle Island State Park, 2150 State Route 48 in Fulton. The cost will be $300 per team, but individuals may register and be placed on a team for $100.
Several students from Emerson J. Dillon Middle School in Phoenix were recognized for their contributions as good citizens throughout the school. The fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth graders exhibited positive character traits and became role models for classmates throughout the school.
More than 200 Emerson J. Dillon Middle School students will be rewarded for their academic successes on May 4 when they attend a Syracuse Chief’s baseball game. The honorees earned gold or silver stars for the third quarter of the 2015-2016 school year.
During a recent Morning Express program, Fairgrieve Elementary School Principal Jean Ciesla congratulated several students for being named by their classroom teachers as the most improved students throughout the month of April.
Michael A. Maroun Elementary fourth grade students recently performed their last elementary concert at the school. The sharply-dressed students brought their confidence and smiles to the “What a Wonderful World”-themed spring concert, which was held in the intermediate cafeteria and gymnasium.
