Fairgrieve Students Practice Self-Control
Fairgrieve Elementary students worked on practicing the character trait of self-control for the month of April.
With Mother’s Day quickly approaching, the Granby Elementary School Parent-Teacher Group recently held an evening of fun, food and crafts for mothers and sons. The turnout was “tremendous” and indicative of parental involvement in their child’s school activities, said PTG co-president Traci Thompson.
In Lucille Mercer’s kindergarten class at Michael A. Maroun Elementary School, students are developing academic skills and learning life lessons as well. As part of a community service initiative, Mercer’s students recently donated a shopping cart full of canned goods to the Phoenix food pantry.
Center for Instruction, Technology and Innovation students enrolled in the Stepping Stones Day Program at Fourth Street School in Fulton were recently recognized by Senator Patty Ritchie for their participation in the 2015 New York State Senate’s Earth Day Poster Contest.
Memory Care at St. Francis serves individuals diagnosed with mild to moderate dementia-related illnesses like Alzheimer’s disease, in a neighborhood setting within the residence, who benefit from a safe community-based living environment with supportive services.
