Mexico Academy and Central Schools has started a Summer Food Service Program that will include a free lunch at the Mexico High School cafeteria for children up to 18 years of age until August 21. The meal must be consumed on site and will also be available to children with special needs up to 21 years of age.

This summer the Oswego Children’s Theater’s will present a show about the meaning of family with their latest production, of “Disney’s 101 Dalmatians, Kids,” a theatre experience about what it means to be a family. Canine and courageous, the show is an upside-down vision of the world: seeing life from a dog’s point of view.

Port City Faith in Oswego will host a fundraising banquet for world missions on July 10 at 6:30 p.m. at 436 W. Fifth St.

The screening will take place on July 14 at the State Street United Methodist Church, 357 State St. in Fulton, from 9:30 to 11 a.m. The bone density screening is open to the public and free of charge.

Olivia Uttamsingh said she wants to be remembered by her classmates as someone who never wasted her time, which is one of the reasons she excelled in school and was named the valedictorian of the Class of 2015. With a strong internal drive to succeed, John C. Birdlebough High School senior Ashley Centner, salutatorian, is not one to settle for mediocrity.

The halls of Dennis M. Kenney Middle School were lined with student work as hundreds of parents toured the building during the annual Cruizin’ Kenney event. In addition to displays and exhibits, there were several live demonstrations that captivated attendees as they strolled through the school.
