Students Showcase Marketing, Photography Skills

On the SUNY Oswego campus recently, dozens of local high school students learned the meaning of the phrase “a picture paints a thousand words” during an Oswego County Academic Youth League competition. The challenge pitted student teams representing eight Oswego County school districts against one another in a battle of creativity, photography skills and marketing prowess. The team from Fulton’s G. Ray Bodley High School took first place.

Fulton High School Students Explore Career Options

With an eye toward the future, students at G. Ray Bodley High School recently had an opportunity to explore more than 70 job options during the first-ever career day. The event began as an idea discussed at a conference and quickly transformed into a massive collaboration between the Fulton City School District and area businesses.

Hannibal Students Have Hearts Of Gold

In partnership with the American Heart Association, the DMK physical education department recently worked to raise awareness of cardiac issues while simultaneously raising funds for the organization. The initiative, dubbed Hoops for Heart, promotes physical activity, heart-healthy dietary and lifestyle choices and community service.

Bodley’s Got Talent Supports Charities

Students, faculty and community members attended the 2015 Bodley’s Got Talent at G. Ray Bodley High School recently. The event is only possibly through the efforts of the HOPE Club (Helping Other People Everywhere) at the school. According to club adviser Catherine Cronk, more than $1,500 was raised this year for the Make-A-Wish Foundation and Volunteers for Peace.
