Embracing its innovative nature, the Stepping Stones Day Program at the Center for Instruction, Technology and Innovation is adding cutting-edge neurological therapies to its services. In partnership with Hillside Children’s Center, CiTi has purchased state-of-the-art software and equipment to begin offering neurofeedback therapy to students with conditions such as attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.
The CTE culinary students coordinated a restaurant experience for CiTi staff recently. Employees were able to choose from a variety of delicious menu items for their lunch. With carryout bags, a ticket order wheel and a cashier, the experience was just like that of a real restaurant.

An ambitious idea to combine educational opportunities and resources has turned into a reality, as the Center for Instruction, Technology and Innovation and Cayuga Community College are embarking on a groundbreaking partnership. The two entities will unite as the Center for Career and Community Education, which will offer extensive programs to a variety of learners.
Ralph Singh, chair and CEO of the Wisdom Thinkers Network and coordinator of Inspire 14! brought together individuals from education, business and community in Oswego County to work together to form a foundation for a meaningful life, in school, in the community and in the workplace for students in the county. The cosmetology program at the Center for Instruction, Technology and Innovation recently held an advisory committee meeting to discuss local labor markets, skills required for entry-level employees and new technologies.
The Sunoco ethanol manufacturing facility in Fulton has received a $200,000 grant as part of Governor Andrew Cuomo’s $709.2 Million New York State Economic Development Resource Initiative. The grant will help support construction costs of an estimated $1 million weigh station consisting of two scales and a scale house at Owens Road and Route 57.

Random acts of kindness have been popping up throughout Emerson J. Dillon Middle School, as students in Sandy Silky’s class have spearheaded the effort. Silky’s students have arbitrarily selected homerooms to drop off special gifts for the past several months.
