Local chorus performs moving musical telling of Jesus’ birth
Tri-county singers consists of devoted singers from three counties and perform Christmas cantantas at area churches. Under the direction of Michelle Pawlenko with Terry Pawlenko as accompanist, this year’s production is composer Pepper Choplin’s Once Upon a Night.

Pratt House Museum Announces 36th Annual Parade of Trees
The Friends of History at the John Wells Pratt House Museum would like to announce the 36th Annual Parade of Trees starting with the open house on November 30, from 1:30 until 4:30 in the afternoon. All of the participating Christmas trees will be decorated and you can come and take a peek, BUT, the official voting for your favorite tree doesn’t start until December 1 at 9 a.m.

Fulton Junior High Celebrates Red Ribbon Week
Fulton Junior High School participated in Red Ribbon week from October 27 to 31. This campaign focused on students pledging to remain drug free. The 25 students who won the Red Ribbon Drug Free Poster Contest received water bottles, mini basketballs and Frisbees for their efforts.

Sedore signs letter of intent to play Division I basketball at Lehigh University
Caleb Sedore, a 6’10” center for the Pulaski Blue Devils basketball team, signed a letter of intent to play Division I basketball for the Lehigh University Mountain Hawks. In a special ceremony surrounded by a huge crowd of family and friends, Sedore committed to play for the Mountain Hawks and said the choice was easy for him citing the good relationship with the coaching staff and the team’s outlook for the future.

Candlelight Vigil For Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month
November is Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month. The vigil will be held on the porch of The Press Box on East First Street from 5-7 p.m. and will continue into the restaurant for munchies and support for anyone who has been touched by pancreatic cancer.

CiTi students learn about behavioral adaptions
Students in Robyn Yorker’s Stepping Stones Day Program class recently participated in a project designed to teach both physical and behavioral adaptions. The students were learning about brown bats, flying mammals popular throughout Central New York. Al LaFrance, a specialist in bat colony removal, was a special guest host for the students and offered insight into the world of bats.

APW National Honor Society induction ceremony set for Nov. 18
The Altmar-Parish-Williamstown Central School District Chapter of the National Honor Society will hold an induction ceremony for new members at 7 p.m. Nov. 18 in the APW Junior/Senior High School auditorium. The induction is open to the public and family and friends of the inductees are invited to attend.
