If you have visited St. Francis Commons Assisted Living Residence in Oswego recently then you may have heard the sounds of a new addition coming from the Grand Dining Room. Thanks to the generosity of Diana McRae, piano music now provides a wonderful backdrop to the dining experience.
When Mother Nature finally released her grip on a relentless winter and a chilly spring, students in Mary Ryan’s class at Oswego County BOCES wanted to get outdoors and help beautify the grounds surrounding the Mexico campus.
Students at Sandy Creek Elementary School took to the field on June 26 for their annual Fun Day.
Fun is just want the doctor ordered, Dr. Seuss that is. The physical education team at Altmar-Parish-Williamstown (APW) Elementary School partnered up once again with the school’s Parent-Teacher-Student Association for this year’s literary-inspired, Dr. Seuss-themed Fun Days.
More than $400,000 in scholarships, grants, and awards were handed out to graduating seniors from Altmar-Parish-Williamstown High School at their annual Senior Awards banquet. Principal Jamie Coppola, along with teachers and staff members welcomed the seniors and their families for the presentation of awards.

The Altmar-Parish-Williamstown Junior High School end-of-the-year outing to Camp Zerbe Nature Park proved to the perfect opportunity to have a real ‘blast’ in the great outdoors. Students played tether ball, volleyball, soccer, football, kickball, basketball, Frisbee, and launched soda bottle rockets.
A second grade reading group at Altmar-Parish-Williamstown Elementary School finished the school year with a traveling wax museum presentation. The group is comprised of six students and is led by second grade teacher Hanna Weigel as a way to promote the students’ reading and reading comprehension skills.
An academic awards celebration honored Altmar-Parish-Williamstown Junior High School students during the final week of classes. Principal James Heffron and seventh and eighth grade teachers bestowed several academic honors upon students.
