On a recent cold, clear night the skies were perfect for viewing the heavens as students from Pulaski Middle School’s science club, in collaboration with the CNY Observers and Observing group, gazed at constellations, star groups and the moon through three high powered Newtonian reflector telescopes.
The 1988-89 Pulaski Varsity Boys’ Basketball Team will be honored at a ceremony to be held on December 6. The recognition will take place following the JV basketball game between Pulaski and Weedsport that starts at 5:30 p.m. in the Pulaski High School gym.

Starting with the December 2013 graduating class, students who enrolled at SUNY Oswego as freshmen in the fall 2010, or subsequent fall, semester and graduate no later than May of their fourth consecutive year, and meet all other requirements of the Oswego Guarantee, will receive the $300 Oswego Graduation Return on Investment.
The MQ-9 aircraft, flown from Wheeler Sack Army Airfield at Fort Drum, crashed approximately 20 miles northeast of the port of Oswego into Lake Ontario during a routine training mission on November 12. U.S. Navy experts, assigned to an area search platoon from the Fleet Forces Command based in Virginia, arrived at the Oswego Coast Guard Station on Wednesday.
Preparations are under way for the annual holiday bazaar at the Bowen’s Corners United Methodist Church to be held Dec. 6 and 7. The event will feature crafts, a bake sale and candy sale, and a luncheon, which will be served throughout the day. Bazaar hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.
Students were allowed to select their top five choices from a list of 40 careers. They received their schedules in homeroom; outlining three sessions of their choosing that spanned a half day.
Southwest Oswego United Methodist Church will host the third annual Community Thanksgiving Fellowship Dinner on Thanksgiving Day from 1 until 3 p.m. The congregation invites anyone who may not have a place to celebrate Thanksgiving to come and enjoy a great meal and perhaps meet new friends and neighbors
