The CNY Arts Center “Arts in the heART Gallery” has new things happening again. It’s such a pleasure to see so many local talented artists with their work on display and for sale. With such a convenient and great location at 47 S. First St. in downtown Fulton, it’s easy to stop in and check out all the amazing things.
After several months of offering their monthly all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet proceeds as a benefit to local non-profit organizations, worthy causes and charities, once again the Lake City Masonic Lodge No. 127 and the ladies of The Order of Eastern Star No. 205 are happy to present a freewill breakfast on October 20 from 8 a.m. to noon. Donations are accepted but not expected.
When New York’s American Legion leaders visited Oswego County Oct. 5, they were treated to some Marine Junior ROTC drilling at Mexico Academy and Central School, a glimpse of the War of Independence in a scenic mural, and a reminder to “Support Our Troops” during lunch at Horning-Fournier American Legion Post 418 in Phoenix.
Projects ranging from auto detailing to paraffin wax demonstrations were in focus Thursday during an Oswego County BOCES open house event on the Mexico campus. Teachers highlighted their class offerings and students showcased their work during the two-hour event, which gave visitors some insight into the programs and services that BOCES provides.
