At this time, I am announcing that the legal challenge to the reapportionment plan passed by the Oswego County Legislative majority last December, has been put on hold, Oswego County Legislator Dan Farfaglia said . We are simply putting our efforts on hold and intend resume the legal battle to rectify this travesty later this year he said.

Local Author’s New Book Details Legends and Lore of Lake Ontario

Susan Peterson Gateley’s newest book “Legends and Lore of Lake Ontario” was just released last week by the History Press. The author will be on hand to sign copies at the Fair Haven Craft Show on July 6 from 1 to 4 p.m. Many mysteries including sunken ships, unknown beasts, strange forces and sudden disappearances lie beneath the lake’s sunlit surface. Odd sightings and peculiar events have long inspired stories.

Spiritual movement extends Hope Fest 2013

What was planned as a 3-day weekend outreach event turned out to be an 8-day celebration of the work of God in the greater Fulton area. Hope Fest 2013 was held at the Fulton War Memorial as scheduled on June 7, 8 and 9. “But it did not stop there,” said John Palm, evangelist and leader of this outreach, which was presented by Christian churches throughout Oswego County and beyond.
