The city of Oswego Fire Department has announced the retirement of Deputy Chief Peter Donovan effective Jan. 4. He spent his entire career on the department’s “A” shift beginning as a Firefighter/EMT, then serving as the Captain of the shift, then becoming the Shift Commander on April 5, 2001, taking over the shift from longtime friend and supervisor retiring Deputy Chief Richard Wart.
