The VFW Auxiliary 5885 will hold a fundraiser on June 3 from noon to 3 p.m. It will be held at 14 Bronson St.
In preparation of the school’s annual Second Grade Showcase, the students researched a country or countries where their ancestors came from and gathered information to create a display with fun facts about their family’s immigration history.

Lee White Maritime Museum at Oswego will be offering special guided tours of the National Historic Landmark WWII Tug, LT-5 on June 10 from 1 – 4:30 p.m. LT-5 is a D-Day veteran, and provided logistical support for ground troops as part of Operation Mulberry.
Just ahead of the Memorial Day Weekend, State Senator Patty Ritchie announced the Senate today (May 24) approved several bills she cosponsors that honor America and those who have served their country. “It is so critically important to honor the memory of our fallen heroes who have made the ultimate sacrifice while defending our nation,” said Senator Ritchie.
Oswego Health is among the sponsors of the upcoming free community breastfeeding shower to be June 16 in Health Services Center. Women who are breastfeeding for the first time or those who plan to breast feed are encouraged to attend this event coordinated by the Oswego County Breastfeeding Coalition.
Artist and storyteller Christopher Agostino met with sixth and eighth graders to infuse arts in education with his “StoryFaces” show. Agostino told a variety of stories while simultaneously transforming the faces of student volunteers into the characters.
