Ray Forsythe of Hannibal was the lucky winner of the Hannibal Dollars for Scholars $100 gas card raffle. He couldn’t contain his grin as he received the card from chapter president Louis Gilbert at the annual pulled pork dinner.
SUNY Oswego presented scholarships and other awards to more than 100 students at the college’s 2017 Honors Convocation, including several from the area. The formal ceremony, complete with a procession of faculty and college officers in full academic regalia, is sponsored each spring at Oswego by Vega, the women’s honor society.

Hundreds of local student-athletes are preparing for the third annual Oswego County Olympiad Invitational, set for May 11 at John C. Birdlebough High School. The event, similar to the Special Olympics, provides students with disabilities an opportunity to participate in dozens of athletic events.
