A big school assembly at Lanigan Elementary School had one, simple message: “Thank you, veterans.” Students and staff members applauded, cheered and waved paper American flags as over one dozen veterans paraded into the school’s cafeteria for a special Veterans’ Day ceremony.

Each month throughout the 2016-17 school year, all FCSD buildings will collect items to donate to local agencies and organizations that assist its students and families.
