Cheryl Camp and Frank George joined Burritt Motors recently, it was announced by Rich Burritt, owner. Camp is a sales/leasing specialist, and George is a finance manager.
My cat Sweet Pea was rescued many years ago from life in a dumpster and she has always preferred to spend most of her time outside cold. My only problem with her is that almost every morning she leaves “parts,” guts really, of whatever rodent she has snacked on during then night on my front porch, on the rug, right where I normally step down first thing.
The Phoenix Central School District’s music program notched another feather in its cap during the recent Junior High Area All-State Music Festival. Eight Phoenix musicians joined select students from 44 school districts across the state to participate in the event, held Nov. 4-5 in Cortland.
The event provided students with an opportunity to meet with local farmers and agricultural businesses for a hands-on harvest experience.
Inspirational singer Sherry Anne is bringing her Merry Christmas with Love concert tour to the United Baptist Church at 5111 State Route 104 East in Oswego for a free 7 p.m. concert on Thursday, November 10. The public is welcome.
On December 4, at 2 p.m., come to the annual Wreaths for Wildlife event at the Amboy 4-H Environmental Education Center and learn how to construct a beautiful evergreen wreath to hang outdoors, decorated with delicious edible treats for chickadees and cardinals, woodpeckers and squirrels, and other woodland friends as well.
On November 14, YMCA members and community residents are invited to attend an open meeting at 7 p.m. to discuss plans for the YMCA facilities. The meeting will provide an update to all regarding the former property at 249 W. First St. and the board of directors will share the design plans and updates regarding the existing facility.
Broadway’s Lovers, Liars, and Clowns make up Fulton Community Theatre’s latest installment of its popular cabaret series “An Evening of Broadway.” The production, titled “Comedy Tonight” is the 15th edition of FCT’s “An Evening on Broadway.” It will be presented in a dinner theatre format weekends, November 18, 19, 20, 25, 26 and 27 at Tavern On The Lock Restaurant, 24 S.First St.
Throughout the month of October, Oswego County Opportunities’ Services to Aid Families Program was raising awareness of domestic and sexual violence in Oswego County. In support of its efforts SUNY Oswego assured SAF that “We’ve Got Your Back!”
