At a recent Fulton Sunrise Rotary meeting, President Linda Rossiter introduced Bob Green of The Green Team Anti-littering Campaign in Fulton. Green started on the Green Initiative about two years ago because he was tired of seeing litter around our community.
The Oswego YMCA will be host the 27th Annual Reindeer Run, a 5k Fun Run and Walk on December 3, at 10 a.m. This event is a fun and healthy way for friends and family to kick off the Oswego community holiday season. As a non-competitive fun run, participants are asked to exhibit holiday cheer by dressing festively.
Harrison has been with his foster mom long enough that he’s aged up from a sweet cuddly guy with all the usual kitten spunkiness to a teenager who loves to lay around and air out his belly. You know how lazy those teenagers can be! As you can see, he loves other cats of all shapes and sizes.
CNY Arts Center is excited to present the classic Harvey onstage running November 11-20 at 11 River Glen Drive on the Cayuga College Fulton Campus. Bringing together a cast of local favorites under the direction of Amy Price Metz, the comedy tells the story of Elwood Dowd’s loveable, but invisible, six foot tall rabbit, Harvey.
SUNY Oswego recently earned Military Times’ Best for Vets ranking for the third consecutive year, just as it announced a Veterans Day observance that will feature dedication of a Battle Buddy Center promoting camaraderie among veterans attending the college.
Oswego City School District Superintendent Dr. Dean Goewey was a recent guest at Oswego Rotary. Dr. Goewey presented information on the district’s vision, mission and current state of affairs.
Residents are encouraged to gather leaves, pumpkins, branches etc and leave them by the side of the road. The Hannibal Town trucks will pick up the items at 7 a.m. Nov. 9.
Alaina Celeste of the RIT women’s cross-country team earned 2016 Liberty League Fall All-Academic Team honors. Liberty League commissioner Tracy King announced that 573 fall sport student-athletes have qualified for the 2016 All-Academic Teams in their respective sports.
Fulton Sunrise Rotary recently donated two benches to the Veterans’ Memorial Park. The purchase of the benches was made possible by a matching grant received from Rotary District 7150.
