SUNY Oswego’s Counseling Center peer educators (P2Ps), Counseling Center staff and the Lifestyles Center will host student-awareness activities associated with Mental Health and Wellness Week from Sept. 24 to 30. Each day, several events on campus will educate students about mental wellness and assist students with identifying and managing stressors, including anxiety and depressed mood.

SUNY Oswego’s Tyler Art Gallery will “Restart” as a premier regional resource for art exhibitions, education and community participation with a juried show in October that will unveil the modernized facility’s welcoming design. Returning to a revitalized Tyler Hall following a two-year relocation to Penfield Library, the gallery will feature works of artists from around the nation Oct. 4 to 30 in a free exhibition titled “Restart.”
Each year NEDA recognizes outstanding achievements in the field of economic development by way of its annual Best Practice and Marketing Awards. This year, NEDA presented the Branding of Economic Development Organizations Award to Operation Oswego County for its website.
Alaina Celeste of Oswego, who is studying mechanical engineering, is a member of RIT’s women’s cross-country team.
About 200 students, including several area residents, completed their baccalaureate studies at SUNY Oswego in summer 2016 and were recognized with bachelor’s degrees.
Any residents of Oswego that would like to make their food dollars go farther may order October Food $en$e packages until noon on October 14. All Oswego area residents may use the program.
Oswego County’s finest artisans will gather on October 1 at St. Paul’s Church Hall, located at the corner of East Fourth and Mohawk streets to display their wares at Trinity Catholic School’s annual Harvest Craft Show. The event will be held from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. In addition to the large variety of gifts available, a chicken barbecue will be held.
