On October 24 at 7 p.m. at the Community Center, Hannibal town and village historian Lowell Newvine and his wife, Carol, will present a program on “The Forgotten Woman of the Civil War.”

The Oswego County Legislature’s Human Services Committee presented a proclamation designating September as Youth Court Month. Youth courts are one of the fastest growing crime prevention and early intervention programs in the nation.

The Oswego YMCA will be offering a youth basketball league and is need of volunteer coaches. The league will begin the week of December 12 and end at with a final tournament on March 4, 2017.

The state-of-the-art mobile dental unit set up shop outside Fairley Elementary School, where two UB dental students and faculty dentists performed a variety of procedures on dozens of Hannibal students.
