Ann Palen of Hannibal was the owner of the winning duck in Hannibal Dollars for Scholars annual “Ducks Over the Dam” race. A total of 53 additional prizes, donated by local businesses, were awarded to race participants. Hannibal Dollars for Scholars provides scholarships to graduates of Hannibal High School each year.

The Oswego YMCA has partnered again with 22 Dragons from Montreal, Canada to bring dragon boat racing to Oswego. Community, corporate, and student teams will race 40-foot long authentic Hong Kong-style dragon boats along a 200-meter course in the Oswego Harbor.
