Event To Highlight National Women’s Health, Fitness Day
Healthy-food tastings, health talks by local experts, indoor and outdoor fitness demonstrations, and health screenings will highlight a National Women’s Health and Fitness Day celebration from 11:30 to 1:30 p.m. on Sept. 28, at SUNY Oswego Metro Center.

Rotarian Cited For Military Service
Joe Hutchinson, longtime Oswego Rotarian, was celebrated in a member highlight recently for his military service. Hutchinson was honored with a quilt created by the group Quilts of Valor Foundation.

Stella is a sweet, friendly, pretty long-haired youngster who raised her own kittens. They all have homes of their own now. So, it’s time for her to have a home and a good life, too. She is getting used to the dogs in her foster home and she is great with people.

Oswego Health New Female Incontinence Service
Oswego Health introduces a new service to assist area residents suffering from one of life’s most embarrassing issues, urinary incontinence. Urinary incontinence affects one in four women and can also be an annoying issue for men. Providing relief from incontinence are Oswego Health Urologists Elizabeth Bozeman, MD, and her husband, Gary Bozeman, MD.

Mayor Barlow Proclaims Assisted Living Week in Oswego during a visit to St. Francis Commons
After presenting the city proclamation to resident council president Helen Yonkers, Mayor Barlow spent time with a large group of residents discussing topics ranging from city government to answering questions from residents wondering what motivated him to get involved in politics and to seek the office of mayor.

Players Announce Auditions
The new play is by Michael Nupuf and Laura Lourie and directed by Inez Parker. Auditions will be held at the Church of the Resurrection where the play will be performed as dinner theater on Oct. 21 and 22.

Tony Deyo, Dan Mahoney Headline Oct. 14 Fulton Lions ‘Mane Event’ Comedy Night
The Fulton Lions Club has announced that it will host “The Mane Event” comedy night with nationally known comedians Tony Deyo and Dan Mahoney, Oct. 14 at 8 p.m. at the Fulton Polish Home. All proceeds benefit the club’s “H” and Mary Dowd Scholarship Fund.

‘A Quest for Hope’ Susan Peterson Gateley to speak at Oswego Maritime Museum on Smithsonian Day
The H. Lee White Maritime Museum at Oswego will be open free of charge on September 24 from 1-5 p.m. and offer a special history lecture at 1:30 p.m. as part of the annual Smithsonian Museum Day Live! campaign.
