The third National Blessings in a Backpack Day was celebrated Thursday (Sept. 15) in Oswego with Mayor Billy Barlow, school board president Lynda Sereno, board member Aimee Callen and many others packing bags with food for local children for the weekend.

SUNY Oswego’s art department has begun gearing up for fall sessions of “At the Art Studio,” a workshop series for children and young adults from 10 a.m. to noon Saturdays, Oct. 8 to Nov. 12, in Tyler Hall. Parents wishing to register children in grades 1 through 12 for age-appropriate sessions need to do so by Oct. 6.
