The Oswego City-County Youth Bureau is looking for book donations to support AmeriCorps’ Little Free Library program. The Little Free Libraries are small public boxes which hold books for the community’s use. The libraries house primarily children’s books and teen or young adult books.
Serving as the presenting sponsor for Oswego Health’s upcoming Run For Your Health 5K walk/run on August 13 that will be held on the Seneca Hill campus is Excellus BlueCross BlueShield. The 5K run/walk will start and end at The Manor, 20 Manor Drive in Oswego winding its way through Oswego Health’s Seneca Hill campus including Springside, Oswego Health’s premier retirement living community.
Dr. Marcia M. Burrell, professor and chair of curriculum and instruction at SUNY Oswego, was selected to attend the 2016 Higher Education Resource Services (HERS) Bryn Mawr Summer Institute from July 9 to 22. Burrell was also invited to join the HERS Luce Program for Women in STEM Leadership.

Working in collaboration with the Oswego County Teachers’ Association (OCTA), the Civil Service Employees Association, school districts throughout Oswego County and area businesses and organizations the annual Stuff-A-Bus Campaign collects donations of school supplies for distribution to less fortunate students throughout Oswego County.
The Friends of Riverside Cemetery Dedicated Tree Preservation and Restoration Fund was established to honor or memorialize a designee of your choosing, as well as preserve the landscape of the historic cemetery for the future.
Oswego Bookmobile – Driving Books Home, thanks Entergy for its recent donation of $5,000 to support its literacy program. Every summer, during the months of July and August, the bookmobile rolls into Oswego neighborhoods to promote reading during summer vacation.
