On April 23, Mother Earth Baby will be host to the Oswego site of the sixth annual international Great Cloth Diaper Change and Healthy Baby Expo. This year’s event will take place at Elim Grace Church, 340 W. First St., from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Pit Stop Convenience Store employees from North Victory recently volunteered their time in the Catholic Charities of Oswego County Food Pantry. The employees delivered a donation of six pallets or an estimated 7,000 pounds of food from their store.
Students learned about local, national and international firefighting history, fire department services, the importance of maintenance, benefits of employment, connecting to the local community and job requirements from Capt. Christopher Stupp, an Oswego County BOCES Heavy Equipment graduate.

Students in three career and technical education programs at CiTi recently attended a resume workshop held by Paula Annesi, a high school coordinator at Bryant & Stratton College.
Award-winning poet-playwright Marcus Gardley will visit SUNY Oswego April 24 to 27, engaging students in the development of his play about ’60s activist Malcolm X, whose assassination Gardley said is “shrouded in mystery.”
The 2016 GENIUS Olympiad has selected 495 projects as finalists, with an eye to hosting a record 850 high school scholars and their mentors June 12 to 17 at SUNY Oswego — an anticipated 28 percent increase over last year.
Lakeside Artisans’ next Paint Nite is scheduled for May 9 from 7 to 9:30 p.m. in Oswego’s Canal Commons’ downstairs community room. Plenty of spaces remain for this event, the latest in the series of highly popular paint nites presented by Lakeside Artisans.
The event has been changed to April 24. It will be held at 2 p.m. at the Volney Town Hall on Route 3 Volney Center.
