The Oswego County Health Department offers a variety of services to all residents of Oswego County, including preventive health services, certified home health care, certified hospice, and a maternal and child health program.

The Counseling Department of Oswego High School will host its annual Financial Aid Night for students and their parents or guardians. The event will be held on November 30 at 7 p.m. in the Robinson-Faust Theatre.
Connections Women’s Conference recently made a $375 contribution to Oswego County Opportunities, Inc. Services to Aid Families Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Program.
It is estimated that 1.6 – 2.8 million youth run away each year. If you put all of these youth in one city, it would be the 5th largest city in the United States. That’s too many homeless youth. These are good kids put in bad situations. Statistics show that approximately 34% of youth reported being sexually abused before leaving home.
The show will be staged in the Frances Marion Brown Theater at the Oswego Civic Arts Center on Dec. 11, 12, 18, 19 at 8 p.m. and Dec. 13 and 20 at 2 p.m.
The Oswego County Emergency Management Office will test the new emergency notification siren system, installed last spring by Exelon Generation and Entergy Nuclear, on Nov. 18. A rain date for those tests will be Nov. 19.
With the United Way of Greater Oswego County’s annual campaign well under way businesses throughout the county are currently conducting their own in-house employee campaigns in support of United Way.
On November 21, SUNY Oswego’s Alpha Phi Omega will host its first “Slime Run/Walk” to benefit Make-A-Wish Central New York and help raise funds for wishes.
