Stewart’s Shops Holiday Match – Field Trip for Discovery Learning Center
Stewart’s Shops Holiday Match program has been supporting local programs for the past 28 years. Discovery Learning Center received a check for $250, which enabled the center to provide bus transportation for a field trip to the planetarium located on the SUNY Oswego campus.

Health Department Will Hold Rabies Clinic Sept. 9 in Granby
The Oswego County Health Department will hold a rabies clinic from 6 to 8 p.m. Sept. 9, at the Granby Town Highway Garage on county Route 8. New York State law requires that all cats, dogs, and pet ferrets be vaccinated against rabies.

Local Cub Scout Makes Donation to Children’s Bereavement Camp
John Martin, a bear Cub Scout in pack 888, donated 70 camper bags to Camp Rainbow of Hope. Camp Rainbow of Hope is a bereavement camp that is run by the Friends of Oswego County Hospice, Inc. and Oswego County Hospice for children to help with the loss of a loved one.

Pet of the Week – Mikey
Mikey comes to the Oswego County Humane Society through United Yorkie Rescue. He’s 10-13 years old, neutered and house-trained. He gets along well with other dogs and LOVES to go for walks. Because of his age, he does have some medical issues (don’t we all?).

September Food $en$e Orders Due
Any residents of Oswego that would like to make their food dollars go farther may order September Food $en$e packages until 3 p.m. on September 11. All Oswego residents may use the program. There are no income limitations and no restrictions on the number of items one may buy.
