Residents at Morningstar Residential Care Center were treated to a banana split cake social in celebration of National Banana Split Day.

Exotic animals of different shapes and sizes were on display at St .Luke Health Services and residents had the opportunity to see many close up and hear interesting facts about each from some very knowledgeable “Junior Zookeepers.”

“Moving Women to Power” is not only the Connections tagline, it’s also the number one goal of every Connections conference. That is why Connections has created the “Woman of Power” award. This award will recognize a woman whose civic and community service goes beyond “normal” responsibilities, creating a lasting and beneficial impact on the community.

The Fulton Amateur Radio Club will be starting a Technician Class on September 14 from 7 to 9 p.m. and run through November 30, with the test being December 7 (weather dependent).

Colgate University is proud to announce MaKenna Cealie, of Fulton, is a member of the Colgate bicentennial Class of 2019. Of the 8,722 applications to Colgate last year, just 26 percent were accepted.

Signs of autumn point to the 400 acres of SUNY Oswego’s Rice Creek Field Station, where free nature education programs and recreational trails await. Naturalist-guided Rice Creek Rambles will take place at 11 a.m. on the following Saturdays this fall: Sept. 19 and 26; Oct. 3, 17, 24 and 31; Nov. 7, 21 and 28; and Dec. 5.
