The Oswego Hospital Laboratory has added a location at Lake Ontario Prompt Medical Care in Oswego. The new lab and collection site opens July 6 at its new Oswego location, 300 State Route 104.
The Amboy 4-H Environmental Education Center, located at 748 Route 183 near Williamstown, presents many programs throughout the year where youth and adults can learn about and observe nature firsthand. This July offers three programs featuring the pond-life, birds, and flowers of summer.
I am thinking about adopting a kitten, as my 18-year-old “Bumpkus” passed away last winter and there is a huge hole in my house that used to be filled with purrs (and fur). I just read that the Oswego County Humane Society is running a “Special” on kitten adoptions – you can adopt two kittens for $100 instead of the usual $200 that it would cost for the adoption fees. But do you think it is a good idea to adopt two kittens at once? Or is the Humane Society just trying to push kittens out the door with this special?
