The Oswego County Emergency Communicators/Radio Amateur Civil Emergency Service (RACES) honored one of its members recently with its annual Service Award. Richard Boutell, WA2LBE, has been a member of the local amateur radio group since 2011 and has been involved in all aspects of RACES.

The Oswego County Legislature recently recognized Dr. Myron Dimon Sr. for his remarkable contributions and tireless commitment to the health and well-being of animals. For more than 60 years, Dr. Dimon has practiced veterinary medicine here in Oswego County, with a focus on large animals.
Oswego Health and the Oswego Kiwanis Club will hold their annual multi-organ blood analysis on August 1 at Leighton Elementary School in Oswego. The analysis screens individuals for various conditions such as anemia, diabetes, and others, as well as for coronary, kidney, and liver diseases.
