At its annual meeting in June, Operation Oswego County presented its 2015 Ally Award to the Oswego County Division of Employment and Training – One-Stop Center, recognizing it as an “ally” organization in the economic development process in Oswego County.

Oswego County Legislators Amy Tresidder and Terry Wilbur recently presented a proclamation to Cornell Cooperative Extension of Oswego County designating June as Dairy Month.

Five summers ago in July 2011, CNY Arts Center debuted its first Arts Fest on the River in downtown Fulton and followed that with Arts Market in the Nestlé’s parking lot in September. This year, in celebration of its fifth summer of family Art fun, CNY Arts Center is combining these two events in one.

Congratulations to Firefighter Jordan Patrick and Firefighter Kevin Davis on their successful completion of the recruit firefighter training program at the Utica Fire Academy. Both Patrick and Davis were hired late in 2014, and were assigned ambulance duty until they began the academy in March.

Olivia Peel, a participant in the Coaches vs. Cancer Kick It to Cancer Soccer Tournament, recognizes Joe Murabito, president of Morningstar Residential Care Center in Oswego for his support of the annual event.

The Oswego Players, Inc., is pleased to announce a series of acting classes for youths ages 11-17. The classes will be led by Players’ member Anne Raynor.

In conjunction with the Fuel Up to Play 60 program, the unique opportunity gave 35 Fairley Elementary School students a chance to attend a leadership forum at NBT Stadium in Syracuse.

Students and audiology staff from the Center for Instruction, Technology and Innovation recently visited Kinney Drugs in Mexico to learn about new technology that creates equal access for all customers.

Full-time students who complete a minimum of 12 credit hours and achieve a semester grade-point average of at least 3.5 with no grades of D, F, Incomplete or Pass/Fail are eligible for the Dean’s List.
