Volunteers will gather at the home of Dick and Naneen Drosse, 16 Hickory Grove Spur, Fulton, at 10 a.m. Aug. 1, to pull water chestnut plants on the Oswego River near Battle Island. The public is invited to participate.
Testing of new emergency notification sirens installed by Exelon Generation and Entergy Nuclear will be held July 28. All sirens will be activated for three minutes at approximately 10 a.m. that day.

Recently, members of the Fulton Public Library Capital Campaign committee met at Mimi’s Drive-In to discuss plans for their upcoming chicken barbeque on August 30 at Bull Head Point in Fulton. Committee members are working to raise money to give the Fulton Public Library a much needed facelift.
Fulton Rotary program chair Nancy Kush Ellis introduced Kelly Weaver who explained the work that Friends of Fulton Parks has been doing to improve play in our parks. Weaver did a nice presentation of how play and the importance of free play, is important to child development.
