Elks Honor Kara Weiss

Minetto Elementary School’s Inclusion Bulletin Board was created by faculty members, Cindi Hermann and Amy Sullivan to celebrate the school’s 25th year of inclusion. The bulletin board reads, “We are each beautiful and unique, but together we are a masterpiece!”
The Hannibal Central School District will host William Silky of Castallo & Silky, Superintendent Search Consultants, on June 17 at 7 p.m. in the DMK Middle School cafeteria. Silky will introduce himself and discuss the search process for a new superintendent.
The Oswego Middle School Hands on History Club traveled to Gettysburg, Pa., recently to learn about the Civil War and the Battle of Gettysburg firsthand. During the trip, students participated in activities led by the National Parks Service, spent time at the visitor center and toured the various sites of the battlefield led by a licensed guide.
The Minetto United Methodist Church will host a free dinner on June 28, serving from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. The menu will be Salisbury steak, seasoned baked potatoes, corn, bread, and dessert. Donations are not expected but will be accepted.
The next full board meeting of the Workforce Development Board of Oswego County will be held at 8 a.m. June 24, in Room 118A of Rich Hall at SUNY Oswego.
The first-ever Kingsford Park School Talent Showcase featured 24 talented student performances in support of the Oswego Bookmobile. The event that was organized by the KPS Home and School organization
The Fulton Art Association will award two deserving Fulton seniors for their achievements in art and ceramics at their graduation ceremony on June 27. Jacqueline Tyler and Meredith Gill-Williams (art teachers) of G. Ray Bodley High School selected the recipients of the two $100 scholarships. The 2015 Art Award is awarded to Chlarissia Crast and the 2015 Photography Award is awarded to Anita Savich.
Deerslayer Bowman’s Archery Club will hold its fifth annual Summer Youth Archery program on July 14-8 and 16 on Tuesdays from 6-8 p.m. for ages 5 years old and up.
Meagan, the daughter of Ms. Terri Suchewski and Mr. Michael Suchewski, achieved this honor by maintaining a 3.4 or higher grade point average.
